Annika Edmén is an experienced commercial lawyer and negotiator. Before joining LA PARTNERS she worked for over ten years with one of the leading business law firms in Sweden where she assisted both private and public parties and in a wide range of different industries such as manufacturing, med.tech, IT and consumer goods.
Annika is an expert in IT and technology related law and is advising clients in relation to for example system delivery projects, outsourcings and software licensing. Annika has been advising both suppliers and customers in numerous projects of this kind, including some of largest system delivery projects and IT-outsourcings on the Swedish market in recent years. Apart from a very deep knowledge regarding the relevant contracts types, Annika has also through the various projects she has been involved in gained very good knowledge about market practice.
Further, Annika has for many years assisted clients in relation to agreements concerning deliveries of products and services, cooperation agreements, distribution agreements and other types of agreement close to the core of many companies business. Annika has extensive experience in drafting and negotiation agreements of this kind and has numerous times assisted clients in preparing template agreements for their business. Within the puchasing field, Annika has in several locations been asked to prepare templates, user guides and in connection with that conduct training sessions in agreement law and negotiation technic with the client’s puchasing departement.
In addition to the above, Annika is an experienced advisor in relation to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and restructuring and she is well acquainted with the various phases these projects normally include as well as the relevant legal aspects and contract types. Annika has also in recent years been advising in relation to the contractual parts of technology and innovation procurements.
Annika has through the years worked close with senior executives with various clients in many projects but also as a “legal sounding board” on a more current basis. Given this and her broad experience in negotiating commercial agreement, Annika has beside her legal knowledge also developed a very good commercial understanding about the business of the clients.
Annika is also a highly appreciated lecturer and is regularly lecturing for clients as well as for students at Lund University.
